Coeur d’Alene Holiday Traditions
The Spectacular 38th Annual Resort Holiday Light Show
The Coeur d’Alene Resort’s annual Holiday Light Show remains the crown jewel of North Idaho’s winter celebrations. The 2025-2026 season kicked off on Black Friday, November 28, 2025, with the spectacular 33rd Annual Lighting Ceremony Parade presented by ICCU. Over 50 parade entries illuminated Sherman Avenue with the “Candy Cane Lane” theme, drawing an estimated 30,000-36,000 attendees to downtown Coeur d’Alene.
The parade began at 5:00 PM, followed by the official lighting ceremony at 6:00 PM featuring carol singing and community celebration. At precisely 6:15 PM, Pyro Spectaculars launched a breathtaking fireworks display over Lake Coeur d’Alene—5,403 shots, shells, and effects including two spectacular 12-inch shells, all funded by the Hagadone family. The show represents over 8,000 hours of work by a dedicated 15-person team spanning more than two months.
The display’s 1.5+ million lights will illuminate the lakefront through January 5, 2026, creating a magical backdrop for winter activities and romantic evening strolls along the world-famous boardwalk. Learn more at Visit Coeur d’Alene.
